Bee’ah Orders 50 Tesla Semi Trucks for Sustainable Management in UAE
Introduction
The first organization to order Tesla Semi trucks in the Middle East, environmental management company Bee’ah, breaks stereotypes by ordering 50 of Tesla's revolutionary all-electric commercial trucks soon after their global launch in November 2017. This announcement was made at the World Future Energy Summit, taking place from January 15th to 18th in Abu Dhabi.

Use of Tesla Semi Trucks
Set to enter production in 2019 and roam the streets of the UAE by 2020, the Tesla Semi trucks will primarily be used for waste collection and transportation. These trucks will play an integral role in Bee’ah's thousand-strong vehicle fleet, contributing to a significant reduction in the company's carbon footprint.
The Tesla Semi trucks will be utilized alongside:
- Existing electric vehicles (EVs)
- Vehicles running on compressed natural gas
- Vehicles powered by biodiesel
- Solar-powered boats for cleaning lakes across the country

Fleet Transition and Performance
The purchase of the 50 Tesla Semi trucks marks the first phase of Bee’ah's transition to a fully eco-friendly fleet. The Semi trucks will be capable of traveling up to 805 kilometers on a single charge and are guaranteed for 1.6 million kilometers of usable life while carrying a payload of 36,287 kilograms.
