Bentley Motors Accelerates Beyond100 Strategy with Ambitious Electric Vehicle Roadmap

Bentley Unveils Bold Five-in-Five Plan for Annual Electric Car Launches

Bentley Motors has announced an acceleration of its progressive Beyond100 strategy, considered the boldest of its kind in the automotive industry. The centerpiece of this initiative is the "Five-in-Five" plan, which commits Bentley to launching a new electric vehicle every year starting from 2025. This ambitious move is set to redefine Bentley’s legacy as a benchmark for sustainable luxury mobility.

£2.5 Billion Investment to Power the Future of Sustainable Manufacturing

Earlier today, Bentley revealed a substantial £2.5 billion investment to drive this strategy forward. As part of this commitment, the first Bentley electric vehicle will be designed, developed, and produced at the brand’s Crewe facility in England beginning in 2025. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the Crewe team, the region, and the United Kingdom as it strengthens the country’s role as a hub for high-value, sustainable automotive production.

The investment will also support a comprehensive reinvention of Bentley’s manufacturing infrastructure in Crewe, helping to secure the company’s future and that of the next generation of products and employees. Crewe is set to become the "Dream Factory"—a flexible, digital, high-value manufacturing site with zero environmental impact.

Bentley’s Hybrid Leadership and Expanding Model Range

Bentley currently leads the luxury hybrid vehicle segment and will further strengthen this position with the launch of the Flying Spur PHEV in 2022, alongside five additional hybrid variants. These models will join the existing Bentayga PHEV, catering to the diverse needs of Bentley’s discerning clientele. It is expected that hybrid models will account for more than 20% of Bentley’s sales this year.

CEO Adrian Hallmark Highlights a Defining Moment for Bentley

Speaking on the announcement, Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, stated: "Accelerating our Beyond100 strategy and ensuring BEV production at Crewe, combined with a £2.5 billion investment, represent landmark moments in our 102-year history. This is a beacon of hope for the Bentley family, our suppliers, partners, and for the UK’s automotive industry as a whole."

He added: "This latest announcement regarding Bentley’s Beyond100 plan marks the beginning of a transformative era in our remarkable history. The world is undergoing profound change, and we must play our part in achieving carbon neutrality. Our goal is to become a fully carbon-neutral company by 2030, reaffirming our leadership in sustainable luxury mobility."
