The BBC reported that an ex-bank manager from Manchester England has set a land speed record for blind people with an average speed of 186 mph.

Mike Newman, who is 52, scored it in a Porsche 911 at Bruntingthrope Proving Ground. Through Newman’s helmet, a spotter in a chase car relayed directions through a radio.

Newman said: “When I was I sixth gear, I knew I was going quick enough.”

He also added that he hopes his land speed record run encourages people with disabilities to get more involved in motorsport.

And you thought blind people can’t drive? You’re wrong!
