Background

Recently, all used car dealers were mandated to relocate from the city of Abu Dhabi to Motor World, a facility built specifically for this purpose in 2012 following directives from the Department of Economic Development. However, this relocation has resulted in significant losses for dealers due to the lack of a robust advertising campaign, vehicle inspections, and registration centers.

Government Response

Their plea was addressed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, which is constructing a new road extending from the highway to enhance visibility and accessibility. Additionally, a new ADNOC station will be inaugurated.

Future Developments

• The ADNOC station is set to open by the end of this year.
• The new road will be inaugurated in the first quarter of next year.
• A foreign car dealership will commence operations by the end of this year.
