Very recently, we brought to you news of the Chinese electric automaker, Zeekr’s advent in the UAE and how its distributor, AW Rostamani Group (AWR) set up a state-of-the-art facility to engage users in a holistic experience and a path-breaking service center for complete care of Zeekr vehicles in the region.
Now, we have learnt that Dubai Police’s extravagant fleet has incorporated the electric fastback, Zeekr 001 into its fleet.
THE HANDOVER CEREMONY
The car was handed over to the Dubai Police at their headquarters in presence of Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Directorate of Traffic, Ahmed Shehab, Regional Director of Product and Strategy of Zeekr Mena and Roberto Colucci, Director of Zeekr at AW Rostamani Group, in addition to senior executives of AWR and Zeekr.
Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan lauded the partnership between Dubai Police and AWR backed Zeekr to give a stimulus to strategic cooperation between the public and private sectors and achieve joint initiatives charted by the Government in their vision. Such collaborations play an instrumental role in achieving social responsibility avenues and pave the way for a sustainable future through adoption of innovative ideas and solutions.
THE ZEEKR 001
Donning the idiosyncratic livery of Dubai Police vehicles, the 001 is a futuristic car that blends style, technology, active safety features and high performance in a compact footprint. Upfront, the hood is enveloped in a combination of white and Dubai Police’s iconic Green livery. The middle section exhibits the Dubai Police logo. The side profile flanks artwork synonymous with Dubai Police’s vehicle graphics and fonts. The two-tone white paint for the body and gloss black finish for the roof and pillars appear purposeful.
STATISTICS
The Zeekr 001 is known to be possessing astounding performance and safety. Through its 400 kW motor, it harnesses all of its succulent 544 ponies to dart from a standstill to 100 Km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Moreover, it can be tamed from 100 Km/h to a halt in under 35-metres. Such numbers embolden the car’s capabilities and provide a reassurance of safety in high-speed and ferocious pursuits.
The car is touted to feel surefooted under hard deceleration and taking serpentine roads with aggression. Working as a feather on its cap, the 001 boasts of a claimed 580-Km range on a single full charge. This ensures it is ready when required. Zeekr has left no stone unturned in making the car deserving of being a part of Dubai Police’s fleet. Under the 2024 Euro NCAP assessment yardsticks, it scored the highest rating with achieving all 5-stars and gone the extra mile to secure 5-star Green NCAP rating for sustainability.
