Partnership between Generation.e and YallaMotor
This year's event will feature a collaboration between Generation.e, an organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles worldwide, and YallaMotor, the largest automotive website in the region. The two companies will invest $300,000 in their marketing campaign during the first quarter of the year to promote electric vehicle usage in the Middle East. The new edition of EVRT Dubai 2020 will launch on March 25.
Journey Route and Highlights
The journey will showcase numerous stunning landmarks across the United Arab Emirates, featuring electric cars from around the globe to accelerate the growth of electric vehicle adoption and highlight the benefits of smart electric mobility.
Transforming the Event into the Largest Electric Vehicle Journey
After organizing EVRT journeys in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Generation.e is ready to turn this significant event into the largest electric vehicle journey in the world. Only seven electric vehicle manufacturers will be selected to participate, gathering 100 participants with a shared vision from around the globe, accompanied by 25 electric vehicles traveling in a single convoy throughout the UAE. EVRT Dubai 2020 will also host the launch of new charging stations along the route.
Statements about the Event
Ben Pullen, co-founder and CEO of Generation.e, stated, "This year's event will be bigger and better in every aspect. We will build on the successes we've achieved in previous years and gather the latest and best electric vehicles available worldwide. This year's event focuses on highlighting the options that businesses, governments, and consumers should consider as most manufacturers globally launch their electric vehicle models to the market. The abundance of choices for users will be the main challenge for electric vehicles, indicating a clear sign of a new era for electric vehicles this decade."
Competitions and Events
This year's edition will also include a competition for participants and car manufacturers through the "World Regeneration Challenge," a global event taking place on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, aimed at raising awareness of the benefits of regenerative braking for electric vehicles. The vehicle that regenerates the most energy from braking while driving will earn the title of Global Regeneration Champion, showcasing its commitment to technological innovation and advanced engineering.
An Ideal Platform for Manufacturers
With its large fan base, EVRT Dubai 2020 serves as an ideal platform for global manufacturers and distributors to present and promote their current and future electric vehicles.
