Bentley's First Ever Big Crossover: The 2014 Model
Introduction
Sharing the platform with the next generation Audi Q7 and the new Lamborghini crossover, this is Bentley's first-ever big crossover that will go on sale in 2014. This model also utilizes Volkswagen Group architecture, engines, and components. A four-seat sports car is expected to be released in 2015 or 2016.
Design and Features
Debuted early this year at the Geneva Motor Show, this premium crossover segment takes its styling cues from the EXP 9 F concept. Its price will be the highest of any SUV on the market.
Performance
The outstanding performance of this crossover will be powered by a W12 engine producing 600 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. Key design elements include:
- Mulsanne inspired headlights
- Bentley's signature matrix grille
- Jet-inspired elliptical twin exhaust tailpipes
- 23-inch alloy wheels
Sales Projections
As reported in Forbes, outgoing CEO of Bentley, Wolfgang Durheimer, ensures growth, projecting global sales of 3,500 to 4,000 units a year for the Bentley crossover.
