All-New Ford Territory: A Commanding SUV for the Middle East
Ford has unveiled the all-new Territory in the Middle East. This 5-seater SUV features muscular and commanding looks, embodying Ford's ‘Progressive Energy in Strength’ design philosophy, which emphasizes three fundamental principles: commanding, agile, and responsive.
Exterior Design
On the outside, the Territory showcases sleek LED daytime running lights integrated into a horizontal grille bar. A sharp crease runs under the beltline and extends to the rear of the SUV, giving it an aggressive look.
Interior Features
Step inside and you will find:
- A 12.3-inch high-definition digital instrument cluster
- A 12.3-inch touchscreen that can be operated by touch or a rotary dial
- A plush interior with strong horizontal lines and soft-wrapped inserts
- A double-deck console design for enhanced functionality
Performance Testing
The Territory has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its readiness for the Middle East. Ford tested three prototypes of the SUV on various terrains over 18 months, including two summer cycles. The testing conditions involved temperatures ranging between 43°C and 49°C.
Customer-Centric Design
“The all-new Ford Territory was built for young, smart, and connected customers. It boasts a modern design and advanced technology features that deliver a highly exciting and progressive customer experience,” stated Ravi Ravichandran, Executive Director at Ford Middle East.
Maurizio Tocco, Chief Designer of the Ford Territory, commented: “We focused on three key areas that were important for our customers when designing the all-new Territory: a commanding presence on the road, spaciousness inside, and smart technology integrated into the design.”
