The automotive market in the Middle East is undeniably one of the best for car manufacturers. Every so often, we see a new car brand entering this region, with an increase in Chinese vehicles. Last year, many Chinese cars were showcased at the Dubai International Motor Show, including BAIC, GAC, Chery, Brilliance, Geely, and more.
Haval: The New Brand
This year, a new brand named Haval has joined the scene, which is part of another Chinese car brand called Great Wall. Great Wall is the largest Chinese manufacturer of SUVs, and now these vehicles will carry the Haval badge. Haval specializes in SUVs and became an independent brand in 2013 but still operates under the Great Wall umbrella.

Haval has released the teaser image above for its marketing campaign in the UAE. They have also launched a dedicated website for the region, which you can visit at www.yearofthesuv.com. The site discusses the brand's story, focusing on the launch of SUVs in China and their expansion into Australia, South Africa, and now the Middle East.

Vehicle Features
The teaser image hints at the safety features of the vehicle, along with other offerings from Haval, such as performance. They noted that Haval has been among the top ten in the Dakar Rally for three consecutive years and emphasized its design, claiming to have received a patent for Chinese design. Finally, in terms of sales, Haval stated that it sold over 660,000 SUVs in 2015 and has been the largest SUV manufacturer in China for the past six years.
