Well this is good news for Honda fans who have been left there with a sour taste in their mouth after the sad ending of the Honda S2000 in 2009 and are waiting for Honda to make a S2000 replacement and reclaim the crown of the ‘affordable sports-car maker’. After few attempts at making hybrids, Honda is slowly learning the lesson and the future looks bright with the revival of the NSX brand and powering of the F1 Mclaren from next year. But for now, we are interested in this little car which is to debut in the Tokyo Motor Show next month – the S660 Concept.
It is small drop-top car which weighs less than a ton and is powered by 660 cc – 3 cylinder engine that produces 67 bhp. These are definitely not impressive specs for a high end sports car which is why Honda needs to place it the ‘highly affordable’ price gap. We shall find out more when it’s officially launched.
