Hyundai Adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Support for 2015-2017 Models

Introduction
Earlier, consumers had to rely on their car's infotainment system until the car was sold. Whenever an upgrade was offered, the vehicle had to be taken to the dealer for software installation. However, this is no longer the case, thanks to the advent of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The smartphone tech giants have made their way into the automotive sector, and their software offerings are being implemented in nearly every car available today.
Hyundai's Innovative Approach
Hyundai is among the automakers embracing these advancements. The Korean manufacturer has taken an extra step by allowing consumers to add Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to their existing 2015, 2016, and 2017 models without visiting a dealer. All that is needed is to visit the MyHyundai portal for access to the software upgrade. This is fantastic news, empowering consumers with the freedom to do it themselves.
Installation Process
The MyHyundai.com website provides installation guides for the upgrade process. An installation video will soon be available as well. Additionally, the software will be available at Hyundai dealerships for a fee starting next month (the inclusion of GCC models is yet to be confirmed).

To perform the upgrade, customers need to remove the SD card from the infotainment system, insert it into a computer, download the software update, and then reinsert it into the car. The process is automated, and the upgrade is complete!
