Hyundai Staria Launch in the Middle East: A New Era of MPVs

Introduction

Hyundai Motor has officially launched the new Staria model in the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) segment across the Middle East and Africa through a digital showcase.

Car Design

The name "Staria" merges the words "star" and "aria," reflecting the company's forward-thinking values in its products and the sleek, elegant design features characterized by prominent curves and a streamlined appearance.

The exterior design of the Staria draws inspiration from the aerodynamic shapes of spacecraft, highlighted by long horizontal LED lights and low-beam headlights at the front.

Interior Features

The Staria is equipped with a range of driver assistance features and futuristic design elements that create refreshing experiences for both drivers and passengers, making travel time more productive and comfortable.

On this occasion, Bang Sun Jeong, President of Hyundai Motor for the Middle East and Africa, stated, "We are delighted to launch the luxurious Staria model as a remarkable addition to our vehicle lineup in the region."

Engines and Performance

The Staria MPV comes with two engine options:

• A 2.2-liter VGT diesel engine.
• A 3.5-liter Smartstream G6DIII gasoline engine.

The diesel engine has been newly developed and is available with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, generating 177 horsepower and a torque of 44 kg.m. The high-efficiency turbocharger, enhanced with an intercooler, provides optimal torque at low speeds.

Meanwhile, the gasoline engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 272 horsepower and a torque of 33.8 kg.m. Its integrated thermal management system allows for better fuel efficiency by regulating the coolant temperature based on driving conditions.

Colors and Final Design

The Staria models are available in eight exterior colors, including:

• Pearl Black "Abys."
• Creamy White.
• Metallic Gravity Grey.
• Pearl Blue "Moonlight."
• Metallic Silver.
• Dynamic Yellow.
• Metallic Olive Grey.
• Pearl Brown "Gaia."
