Hyundai Motor has unveiled its latest design for future electric vehicles with the new "Prophecy EV" model, which elevates the dimensions and form of electric vehicles to a new level. This innovative design reflects Hyundai's evolving philosophy of "Sensuous Sportiness."
Exterior Design
The new Prophecy was crafted with an iconic shape featuring optimal dimensions inspired by aerodynamic design, making the most of the extended wheelbase and short overhangs. Hyundai's designers presented the Ultimate Automotive model in the Prophecy, thanks to the carefully defined surfaces of the new electric vehicle structure, harmonizing functional performance with aesthetic appeal.

Regarding the unveiling of the new vehicle, Sang Yup Lee, head of Hyundai's Global Design Center, stated:
"We have created a new symbol for Hyundai that sets a benchmark in the electric vehicle sector, expanding our design vision to broader horizons. This new design embodies our vision for future cars, which we refer to as 'Optimistic Futurism'. The new Prophecy reflects our optimistic prediction for a future where the connection between humans and vehicles evolves."
Hyundai's Future Plans
Hyundai Motor Group is currently expanding its production line to include 44 electric vehicles and has announced plans to invest nearly €50 billion in research and development for future technologies by 2025. It is expected to sell over 670,000 batteries and fuel cells for electric vehicles annually by that time, positioning it among the top three electric vehicle service providers globally.

- Transform over 75% of its vehicles in the European market to electric cars by the end of 2020.
- Provide nearly 80,000 zero-emission vehicles to European consumers this year.
