Introduction
Infiniti revealed its concept vehicle, the QX80 Monograph, at the recent New York International Auto Show. The QX80 Monograph stands out from previous models with its new headlight design and a redesigned front splitter that enhances its aggressive and powerful appearance.
New Information About the QX80
The company recently announced that it will retain the chassis structure used in models since 2011, along with its 5.6-liter V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Statements from Infiniti's Vice President
Roland Krieger, Vice President of Nissan and President of Infiniti, shared in an interview with Motor Trend: "It is likely that the car will feature a naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8 engine, as there is no need to change its engine. It is a highly successful vehicle that has carved its place in the global market, providing power suitable for a 7-passenger vehicle."
Additional Information
Production of the 2018 Infiniti QX80 is expected to begin by the end of this year, with noticeable changes both inside and out, though it won't be considered a new generation of the large SUV. The vehicle has already recorded sales of 6,700 units in the past four months before production starts.
