We sat down with Mr. Chris Wilde, the Jaguar Land Rover Brand Director, for a short interview to understand his expectations from the F-Pace and Jaguar itself in the Middle East. Below is the interview Q&A.

What are the pros of F-Pace over direct rivals?
The F-Pace strikes a perfect balance between a sports car and an SUV. It is one of the most practical sports cars available today. In the growing segment, the main rivals include:
- Porsche Macan
- BMW X4
- Audi SQ5
The main advantage of the F-Pace over competitors is its dynamism and the ride & handling balance, thanks to the development engineers who provide the whole sports car feeling.
What is the expected market share with this particular model?
Currently, we are not constraining ourselves with specific figures. We are ambitious with the F-Pace and consider it groundbreaking. We are making a strong effort to promote the car so that as many people as possible are aware of it. The official launch in the MENA region is on May 2nd, so stay tuned.

What are the main characteristics of an F-Pace customer?
The F-Pace appeals to a diverse audience, including singles and families. Our target demographic includes:
- Individuals in their 30s to 40s
- Young families
- Professionals in senior management positions
Additionally, it attracts those who value styling, image, status, and outdoor activities.
When will the car be available in the GCC market?
The F-Pace will be available in the first week of May.
How is the company performing in the Middle East?
Jaguar has experienced significant growth globally over the past year, mirroring that success in the Middle East. Recently, we launched two new sedans, the XE and XF, within the last twelve months. Our market share is expected to increase further with the introduction of the F-Pace.
What is the best-selling model from Jaguar in the Middle East?
Currently, the best-selling model is the F-Pace.
What is the future model roadmap for the GCC?
We typically do not disclose future plans until the right moment. However, I can confirm that we have significantly reinvented our product range over the last five years, and we have no intention of stopping. We are continuously exploring new markets while preserving the Jaguar DNA. Exciting news will be coming soon.
How does UAE performance compare to other GCC markets?
The UAE is our largest single market in the region. We saw strong year-over-year growth with the launches of the XE and XF. I expect the F-Pace to continue this trend and attract a new audience to Jaguar. We anticipate that 80%-90% of F-Pace customers will be new to the Jaguar brand.
What challenges do you face in the GCC market?
Not just Jaguar Land Rover, but the entire automotive industry is facing challenges due to fluctuating oil prices and the current economic situation.

Will the F-Pace impact Land Rover’s market share in the SUV segment?
The F-Pace offers a very different character as an SUV. Land Rover's DNA emphasizes maintaining off-road capability across each segment. The F-Pace targets customers who prioritize a sporty ride and handling setup.
