Details of the New Plant in India
To support its role as an industrial hub for automotive manufacturers, the Tamil Nadu government has allocated 390 acres (16,988,400 square feet) for the construction of the plant, which will be located near the existing Hyundai facility in Sriperumbudur, approximately 40 km away.
With the announcement of this location, it is believed that the offer made by the Tamil Nadu government was influenced by reports indicating that the company had previously established a plant in Karnataka.
