Introduction to the MG Cyberster
MG Motors has released more details about its highly advanced concept car, the Cyberster, which is set to make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show 2021 in April. The Cyberster is being developed by the team at the MG Advanced Design Centre located in London, UK. This two-door, two-seater sports car pays homage to the brand's rich heritage, featuring design elements inspired by the classic MGB Roadster.
Electric Performance of the Cyberster
The Cyberster delivers supercar-level performance as a fully electric vehicle from MG. Its intelligent electrical engineering provides an impressive driving range of 800 kilometers (500 miles), with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0 – 62 mph) in less than three seconds. Additionally, it will be equipped with modern 5G connectivity technology.
Furthermore, a collaboration between MG and Bilibili E-sports has led to the co-development of the first ultra-sporty electric cockpit in the automotive sector for the Cyberster.
Exterior Design of the Cyberster
The Cyberster stands out with its bold and eye-catching exterior design, which includes:
- Classic front lights from MG
- Sleek grille design
- Interactive front lights with a smart eye feature that activates upon starting
- LED lighting strip in a laser belt style along the lower side of the car
- A door line that follows the LED lighting direction
Side and Rear Profile
On the other hand, the car's strong sporty side profile features a distinctive two-stage shoulder line, complemented by a flat kamm tail design at the rear. The rear lights are constructed with LED technology and are seamlessly integrated into the car's back, reflecting a digital image that pays tribute to MG's rich British heritage.
