MG Motor's Participation in the Show
MG Motor showcased its latest advanced technologies and new model range during its participation in the Saudi International Motor Show in Jeddah, which runs until December 20, 2018. The MG Motor platform at the event also provided an opportunity for new drivers in the Kingdom to enjoy a driving simulation experience enhanced with LED technology.
Company Growth in the Saudi Market
Tom Lee, CEO of SAIC Motor Middle East, announced at the exhibition significant growth achieved by the company in Saudi Arabia during 2018, reaching an impressive 1000%. This success is attributed to the launch of the iconic British brand's latest models, including the MG6 2019 and the classic MG TD 1950, which represents the company's rich heritage introduced earlier this year.
Design of the MG6 2019
The MG6 2019 features carbon fiber accents on the front bumper, dual chrome exhaust pipes, and a front grille referred to as "Star Rider," which follows the brand's new design language. The sporty touches extend into the interior with an elegantly designed center console and distinctive leather seats available in black and red.
Mechanical Performance
Mechanically, the MG6 is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that generates 169 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission, delivering a blend of effective and smooth performance.
In addition to its sporty performance, the vehicle comes equipped with an 8-inch entertainment system that supports Apple CarPlay, a push-start button, keyless entry, a tire pressure monitoring system, a rearview camera, and dual-zone climate control.
