According to the BBC, Mike Newman, a former banker from Manchester, England, has established a new land speed record for blind individuals, averaging an impressive 186 mph.

The 52-year-old Newman set his record driving a Porsche 911 at the Bentwaters Proving Ground. Throughout the attempt, he received instructions via radio from a support team.

Newman remarked, "When I shifted into sixth gear, I knew I had reached a high enough speed."
