Introduction to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is an independent organization that conducts safety tests on various vehicles. Recently, it performed a front crash test where the vehicle collided with a solid barrier (like a tree) at a speed of 40 mph. This test measures how well a vehicle absorbs impact from the front, with ratings of “Good” being particularly challenging to achieve.
