Introducing the New Audi Q2: A Compact Crossover for the Young Generation
Audi has unveiled an entirely new vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show, named the Audi Q2. This model slots in below the Audi Q3, marking Audi's entry into the world's largest market for compact crossovers. The Q2 is built on the Volkswagen MQB platform.
Design and Appearance

According to Professor Rupert Stadler, Chairman of AUDI AG, the Q2 has been specifically designed for the younger generation. He emphasized that its design reflects its character, combining a compact SUV with technical expertise and practicality.
Dimensions of the Audi Q2
The Q2 certainly stands out from the rest of the Q family, which is a positive aspect considering the similarities among other Q models. The Q2 measures 1.5 meters in height, 4.17 meters in length, and 1.8 meters in width, offering a spacious cargo capacity of 1000 liters—impressive!
Interior Features
The positives continue inside as well. The dashboard design is inspired by Audi’s latest vehicles, featuring a sleek and minimalist layout. Additionally, it boasts luxurious features such as:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Traffic sign recognition
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane departure warning
Engine Options
The engine options include a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 114 horsepower, thanks to turbocharging. However, this engine may not be available in Gulf countries. Instead, the Gulf market will receive a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 187 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the option of either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.

Given that the Q2 is built on the Volkswagen platform, we can expect a similar model from Volkswagen to be introduced soon.
