Nissan Safety Shield® 360: Enhancing Road Safety in the UAE

Introduction

Safety is becoming a priority for customers in the UAE, and Nissan has identified this need by launching the Safety Shield® 360 system - sounds pretty cool, right?

What is Safety Shield® 360?

The Safety Shield® 360 system is part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technologies, bringing phenomenal safety tech to all models in the UAE. This system actively monitors, assists, and reacts to surroundings to prevent potential collisions by combining six advanced technologies.

Key Features of Nissan Safety Shield® 360

1. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection

This feature tracks vehicles and crossing pedestrians using a forward-facing radar, providing visual warnings and can even apply the brakes in case of an emergency.

2. Lane Departure Warning

The lane departure warning monitors the left and right-side lane markers of the traveling lane, flashing an indicator and sounding a warning chime if necessary.

Both of these features are becoming quite common in cars, and Nissan has integrated them into this innovative system as well.

Additional Safety Features

5. Rear Cross Traffic Alert

This feature processes information from the camera and sensors, monitoring moving vehicles, pedestrians, or objects that may be out of sight. It alerts drivers when reversing out of a parking spot. A 360-degree view feature will also be available on select models.

6. Rear Automatic Braking

This feature detects stationary objects behind a vehicle and applies the brakes if necessary to avoid a rear collision or lessen the severity of an impact.
