EyesOn Design Award for Automotive Design
The EyesOn Design award for Best Concept Vehicle of 2017 was presented at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, and it is considered one of the most prestigious accolades in automotive design.
Statements from the Designers
Mamoru Aoki, Executive Design Director for Nissan's Global Design Strategy, stated: “The Vmotion 2.0 offers a fantastic glimpse into Nissan's design future, featuring a refreshing and dynamic design language for the interior.”
Color and Design
The Nissan Vmotion 2.0 represents an evolution of the V-motion front design that can be seen across many of Nissan’s current vehicles. Its stunning copper-silver color and the blend of copper with other materials give the car a striking appearance, complemented by the precise curves along its body.
Challenges in Design
Nicole Fonseca, Senior Designer in the Colors and Materials Department at Nissan America, remarked: “It took us 100 attempts to reach this color, and in the 101st attempt (our magic number), we discovered the perfect blend of copper, silver, and other materials to achieve this beautiful layered color.”
