Ineos Automotive to Launch All-Electric SUV Below Grenadier in 2026
Introduction
Ineos Automotive has caught the eye of many petrolheads and car enthusiasts with its back-to-basics Grenadier. The British carmaker has now announced that it will be launching an all-electric SUV positioned below the Grenadier in 2026.
Partnership with Magna
Ineos has signed an agreement with automotive supplier Magna to build the electric 4x4. Set to be built in Magna’s plant in Graz, Austria, the SUV will aim to offer world-class off-road capability, without compromising on-road comfort or performance.
Features of the Electric SUV
- The electric off-roader will become the third offering from Ineos, following the Grenadier pickup.
- Reports suggest a targeted range of 250 miles (400 kilometers) on a single charge for the SUV.
- The electric SUV will feature a rugged and boxy exterior, resembling the Grenadier.
CEO's Statement
Lynn Calder, CEO of Ineos Automotive, stated: “This is an exciting moment for INEOS Automotive.”
“Having worked together on the engineering of the Grenadier, we’ve seen first-hand the value of applying Magna’s agility, knowledge, and experience to a complete vehicle development program. Deepening our collaboration is a natural next step as we use the Grenadier as a springboard for our continued growth as a global automotive brand with this third model line.”
