Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Opel, stated: "The Corsa-e is the electric car for everyone – it is perfectly suited for daily use and is extremely affordable, in addition to being a great fit for motorsport. The new Corsa is particularly fun and dynamic to drive. By using a production car as a base, we are the first car manufacturer in the world to develop an electric rally car."
