The Importance of the Qatar Market
Ralph Biesinger, the Sales and Marketing Director for BMW Middle East, stated the following at the Qatar Motor Show:
The Qatar market is extremely important for us in the Middle East, and I am very pleased to be at the 2016 Qatar Motor Show. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Alfardan Group for their contribution to our success as BMW Middle East in 2015. Without our partners at the Alfardan Group, we would not have achieved the success we enjoyed in 2015 in this region.
BMW Sales Growth
BMW Middle East has achieved sales growth for six consecutive years, having sold 33,100 BMW vehicles last year. This marks an 11% increase over the previous year, once again outperforming the luxury car sector in the region.
Investment and Partnerships
Through our dedication, investment, and focus on serving our partners, such as the Alfardan Group here in Qatar, we embody the true spirit of our company.
Car Performance in 2015
2015 was the year of the X5 and X6, with more than 45% of our sales volume attributable to the success story of the X Series. 2016 will be the year of the 7 Series, as we have already delivered over 1,000 units of the 7 Series in this region (launched in December 2015).
Launch of New Models
You might be interested in the launch of the M2 and the Solitaire version of the 7 Series at the Qatar Motor Show, which is a significant area for us. We confirm that with the new series, new models, and new engines, we have reached another record sales milestone in this sector.
Exclusive 7 Series Vehicle
Today, we have one of only six units of the exclusive 7 Series. This is the most expensive BMW in history, a Solitaire version, with only one unit available in Qatar, featuring an exceptionally high-quality interior. This vehicle, designed specifically for the Middle East, includes a 5-carat diamond embedded in the cabin. This car, which we have with us today, reinforces the 7 Series as the leading vehicle in its class.
The New Generation of X1
2016 will also introduce the second generation of the X1 to the market, allowing us to connect with a new customer segment and expand further, welcoming more individuals to the BMW family.
The New M2
Today at the Qatar Motor Show, we also present the first BMW M2. Once again, the growth rate of M vehicles increased by 100% in the region last year, showcasing the significance of M cars.
