Iraqi Man Arrested for Stealing SUV Rear Seats in Sharjah

Incident Overview
An Iraqi man has been arrested by the Sharjah Police charged with stealing rear seats from SUV cars parked in the Industrial Zone 5 of the emirate.
Details of the Theft
The Police were informed that a guard of a workshop witnessed a man breaking the glass of the back window of an SUV and stealing the car’s rear seats before fleeing the scene.
Arrest and Confession
The suspect was identified by a Police team who followed and arrested him as he was on his way to sell the stolen items. The Iraqi national confessed to the charges and has been sent to Sharjah’s public prosecution.
Police Advice to Vehicle Owners
Razak Asad of Sharjah Police’s Department of Criminal Investigation urges residents to:
- Avoid leaving their cars in abandoned or deserted areas, especially at night.
- Contact the police immediately if they own a vehicle that has been damaged or broken into.
