Jaguar's Vision for Sports Cars

According to Ross Varney, the Director of Development for the Jaguar F-Type, the brand is fundamentally rooted in sports cars, with the F-Type serving as a prime example of their commitment. However, this does not imply that the XK has reached the end of its road, as it belongs to the GT category of sports cars. Varney noted that the focus on the GT aspect has not been sufficient.

Jaguar's Future Strategy

Varney further clarified that this does not mean the XK will not re-enter the competition against GT vehicles. Instead, Jaguar must diligently work on enhancing the F-Type. He emphasized that whatever enhancements could not be integrated into the F-Type would be addressed by the XK stepping in to fill that gap.
