Smart Navigation System for Taxis in Dubai

The Public Transport Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced advanced smart navigation maps for taxis. This initiative aims to ensure that passengers reach their destinations efficiently while assisting drivers in locating their intended stops easily.
Official Statements
According to Adel Shukri, Director of Transport Systems at the Public Transport Agency, these smart maps have been implemented in over 3,500 taxis across Dubai.
Features of the New System
He added that all 8,007 taxis will eventually benefit from this feature, which records vehicle movements and sends the data to the distribution center within the transportation systems department.
Driver Training
According to Marwan Othman, Driver Affairs Manager at Dubai Taxis, approximately 8,000 drivers have already undergone training on this new system.
