Aston Martin DB12: The Latest Super Tourer
Introduction to the Aston Martin DB12
Aston Martin has taken the wraps off its latest “super tourer” - the DB12. It’s quite ironic that after the DB9, ultra-exclusive DB10, and DB11, Aston finally named its car DB12 but it does away with the British marque’s iconic powertrain.
Performance Specifications
However, the powertrain in the DB12 is no slouch. The optimized twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from Mercedes makes the DB12 more powerful than the DB11 V12 with:
- Horsepower: 671 hp
- Torque: 590 lb-ft
- 0-60 mph: Just 3.5 seconds
- Top Speed: 202 mph
Design and Features
The DB12 has Aston Martin’s next-generation adaptive dampers and stiffer anti-roll bars to provide performance as well as "sublime yet agile cruising." We’re told that the DB12 is "the most complete and accomplished DB model."
The DB12 features Aston’s usual styling with some glorious refreshments. Key design features include:
- Two LED lights flanking the big grille
- A completely reshaped splitter
- Beautiful 21-inch wheels
- Frameless side mirrors and flush door handles
Interior Features
Step inside and you will find:
- A massive driver-centric center console
- Some of the finest Alcantara leather on the planet
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
- A new navigation system with online connectivity and 3D mapping
Availability and Pricing
Deliveries of the Aston Martin DB12 are set to take place from the third quarter of 2023 with no details about the pricing revealed.
