The 2017 Dubai Motor Show brought some really cool and unique cars together from across the globe, all under the convenience of one roof. This event allowed us to take in the views and shortlist the cars that made it to this list.

Rolls-Royce Phantom One of One

The eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom could possibly be the best car in the world. Unlike most cars which are ‘bought’ at a showroom, every Rolls-Royce Phantom is specifically commissioned for its rightful owner.

While all Phantoms are created unique, some deserve more mention than others. Such is the case with this splendid purple example displayed at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show. This particular Rolls-Royce Phantom was the Extended Wheelbase version and is backed by a powerful yet silky smooth 6.75-liter V12 engine which generates 571 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. That’s enough muscle to propel this 2.6-ton limo from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds! Top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h.

This eye-catching purple masterpiece features an exquisite, multi-layered special metallic paint job, which alone takes more time to complete than it takes for most mass-manufactured cars to roll out of an assembly line. At the crest of the huge Phantom grille is the gorgeous Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, while massive wheels below feature captivating floating center caps with the “RR” emblem. The fascinating suicide back doors are also part of that bespoke Rolls-Royce experience.

The cabin is just as bespoke and features the best that the leather and wood industry has to offer. Even the woolen floor carpets are sourced from handpicked sheep. The star-studded LED headliner on the ceiling is completely customizable and sets the mood in the sumptuous cabin just right. There’s also an “industry first” single piece of toughened glass running the entire length of the dashboard. Owners of the Rolls-Royce Phantom have the option of placing a priceless piece of art behind this glass to preserve it for a long time.

2018 Kia Stinger

Value for money has been one of Kia’s strengths for a while. However, the same couldn’t be said about their sporting prowess and uniqueness when it came to their road cars. That’s about to change with the introduction of the new 2018 Kia Stinger, which promises to infuse some much-needed fun into Kia’s current lineup.

The 2018 Kia Stinger isn’t exactly ravishing but looks mean enough with a meaningful stance. The exterior design seems to take cues from other sports sedans, which isn’t a bad thing and works in the Stinger’s favor. The well laid out cabin comes with all the bells and whistles, plus the quality and feel of the cabin materials are pretty good too, though not on par with some of its pricier German rivals.

Most importantly, under the long and striking hood of the top-spec 2018 Kia Stinger is a punchy twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 that dishes out 365 HP and 510 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transfers the power from the motor to the rear wheels and helps get the Stinger to 100 km/h in a brisk 4.9 seconds, with a top speed pegged at 270 km/h!

2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is truly a unique and charismatic car. It also happens to be the quickest and most powerful Corvette of all time. From the moment we laid our eyes on this, we knew it was packing serious power under that bright orange body.

Sitting snug under that seductively long hood is a massively powerful 6.2-liter V8. Add in an equally massive supercharger, and you get 755 horsepower and a shed-hauling 969 Nm of torque. Power is directed to the rear wheels via either a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The High Wing version (as shown in the pictures) compromises a few km/h in the race for maximum downforce (430 kg at speed), whereas the Low Wing version sacrifices some downforce for a higher top speed (over 335 km/h). Along with the exciting exterior, the interior of the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 features enough kit to keep you entertained, including leather-trimmed sports seats, plenty of carbon fiber bits and aluminum accents, fancy contrast stitching, and a performance data recorder to boast about your lap times to friends.
