Road and Transport Authority News
The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the traffic crisis at the World Trade Center roundabout is expected to resolve soon, as the parallel road linking Al Khail Road (Street 312) to Sheikh Rashid Road is set to open by the end of this year.
Statements by Mitha Bin Adi
Mitha Bin Adi, the Executive Director of the RTA and Road Agency, stated that the southern bridge, which begins opposite the World Trade Center gate, will directly facilitate traffic flow from Sheikh Rashid Road to Al Khail Road.
She added that the northern bridge will serve direct traffic from Al Khail Road to three exits, which are:
- The first exit leads to Al Maktoum Bridge.
- The second exit leads to Oud Metha Road [East].
- The third exit leads to Al Garhoud Bridge.
Project Progress
Approximately 80% of the project has been completed, and Mitha confirmed that the roads will be open for traffic before the end of 2013.
