The eighth generation of the iconic Volkswagen Golf GTI is arriving soon. The new model takes dynamic performance, sportiness, elegance, and responsiveness to new heights. Featuring pioneering technology, the Golf GTI comes equipped with the latest connectivity and driver assistance systems from Volkswagen and an all-new digital instrument cluster—marking the most significant technological upgrade in the car’s history. Setting new standards in the compact sports car segment, the new Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged engine delivering 180 kW (245 hp). The first batch of the latest Golf GTI will be available in the region starting April 2021.

For nearly 45 years, the Golf GTI has been a benchmark among sporty hatchbacks. The latest Golf GTI further elevates the driving experience with improved dynamics and a greater range of digital and connectivity features. Like its predecessor, it features Volkswagen’s proven front-wheel-drive system, renowned for its efficiency and performance. The GTI continues to embody its authentic characteristics, blending dynamic performance, comfort, agility, and elegant design with driver-focused features.
Bold Exterior Design and Enhanced Driving Dynamics
The new Golf GTI is now lower, longer, and boasts even better driving dynamics. Its exterior design merges classic GTI styling elements with innovative touches. The signature GTI strip has been redesigned with a parallel LED light bar and high-tech LED taillights. Under the hood, the turbocharged engine produces 180 kW (245 hp), while performance, agility, and sporty handling are all elevated thanks to the networked dynamic chassis control system.
State-of-the-Art Digital Cockpit and Connectivity
The standard digital cockpit in the new Golf GTI now features an updated graphical interface, including an Active Info Display that is easily operated using the new "View" button on the steering wheel. Key standard features also include App-Connect and wireless smartphone charging.

Available Trims and Exclusive Black Style Package
The new Golf GTI will be offered in two trim levels, each with a wide range of optional features. The optional Black Style package adds a striking touch, featuring black mirrors, grille bars, and headlight accents for a distinctive look.
