Sharjah Public Transport Corporation Issues Multilingual Transport Code

Introduction

The Sharjah Public Transport Corporation has issued a three-language transport code aimed at improving communication with staff drivers. This instructional guide is available in Arabic, English, and Urdu, facilitating better compliance with the rules and regulations of the emirate.

Honoring Exceptional Drivers

At the fourth annual forum held at Sharjah Transport’s new headquarters in the Al Ezra area, 100 drivers were honored by the corporation.

Director-General's Statement

Sharjah Transport Director-General Abdullah Al Zari stated, “With the Dh100,000 earmarked for honoring better performing drivers, we want to provide the best services to our customers and passengers that touched the 55 million mark in 2012.” He added that numerous suggestions, complaints, and inquiries have been received through their call center from the public, and they are committed to sorting and handling them professionally within 48 hours.
