ADNOC Introduces Free Self-Service Fuel Stations in Abu Dhabi
Introduction
In a bold, revolutionary move, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) introduces free self-service across fuel stations in Abu Dhabi. This service allows residents and visitors to fill up without any additional cost, while assistance from attendants incurs an extra fee of Dh10.
Service Details
The Flex system enables users to refuel at no additional cost. However, the premium service, where an attendant pumps petrol into the vehicle, is charged at Dh10. Notably, the elderly and People of Determination are exempt from paying this premium service fee at all ADNOC stations across the emirate.
Customer Feedback
Some dissatisfied customers reported that instead of speeding up the process, they spent an extra 10-15 minutes figuring out the new system. Conversely, satisfied motorists praised the system, stating it is a step in the right direction.
ADNOC Smart Tag
To utilize the self-service option, customers must install an ADNOC Smart Tag on their vehicles. The first 200,000 motorists will receive this tag for free, while subsequent registrants will incur a fee yet to be determined.
How to Receive an ADNOC Smart Tag
- Register for an ADNOC Wallet account on the company’s website.
- Top-up your ADNOC Wallet account with Dh50 or more.
- Schedule an installation appointment online and keep the work order PIN handy.
- Take your vehicle to a Smart Tag installation center with your Emirates ID, vehicle registration card, and work order PIN.
