After revealing a bunch of facelifts and entirely new upgrades, Audi has turned its focus to the A5. Yes, soon, the all-new Audi A5 will be released to the world and Audi is leaving no stone unturned to create hype for the coupe. This is the second-generation A5 and yet it doesn’t feel like it is the second generation. The new model will be revealed to the world on 2nd June in an exclusive event at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt, Germany.
Coming to the car itself, Audi has revealed the all-new headlight design for the A5. After numerous leaks of the prototypes being tested around the world, the camouflage is finally off the headlights and we can see what the new range of Audi headlights will look. Expect this design to be incorporated in other Audi models like the A3, A6 and A8. The design is rectangular in shape with LED DRLs looking like an eyebrow on top of the headlamps. This is much like Mercedes’ way of doing things but in my opinion, Audi does much better. This design is not like the one found in A4 and is unique to the A5. The A5 and the A4 do share most of the internals.
For now, Audi is only focused on launching the Coupe variant of the A5. The Cabriolet and the Sportback versions will be launched afterwards. All the three variants are supposed to be launched by next year as 2018 models. The car specs are still under wraps so stay tuned for the official unveil.
