Bugatti Chiron: The Ultimate Supercar Successor to the Veyron

Introduction to the Bugatti Chiron
After countless spy shots and rumors, the Bugatti Chiron is finally here! Presenting the officially official successor to the Bugatti Veyron – the mighty Chiron. There hasn’t been any car in recent memory that’s been hyped as much as this car. After all, the Veyron has that iconic status in the world of automotive when it became the fastest production car ever produced.

Performance and Speed
Top Speed
The Chiron is capable of reaching 261 mph as per Bugatti. Bear in mind, the Veyron Super Sport touched the top speed of 267.8 mph which is the world record currently. Bugatti has stated that they will never create something slower than the predecessor, so we will have to wait and watch what the car can do in reality. As per rumors, it can reach a top speed of 288 mph – something we are ready to believe.

Acceleration
Bugatti does confirm that the Chiron will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, which means it is definitely faster than the Veyron SS in acceleration. The times for acceleration are:
- 0-100 km/h: Less than 2.5 seconds
- 0-200 km/h: Less than 6.5 seconds
- 0-300 km/h: Less than 13.6 seconds
These figures make the Chiron faster than Laferrari, P1, and 918. However, it is slower than the Koenigsegg One:1 which clocked 300 km/h in less than 12 seconds. But since the One:1 is limited to only 6 units, it doesn’t make it a proper production car.

Engine and Specifications
The Chiron’s power is generated by the 8.0 liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine. This engine is tuned to produce a whopping 1500 BHP and 1600 Nm of torque, all available from 2000 revs. It utilizes an all-wheel-drive platform and is mated to a 7-speed gearbox. The transmission features the largest clutch ever produced for a car.

Design and Features
The Chiron is built using carbon fiber, featuring an airbag that can shoot through the carbon fiber, LED headlights, and a driving mode selector – a world’s first. The interior is minimalistic and clean, with the infotainment system and A/C control kept separate to maintain a slim dash.
The speedometer reads a top speed of 500 km/h, which coincidentally is the number of units produced. Yes, the Chiron will be limited to 500 units in total, including drop-top and various special editions. The starting price is 2.4 million euros, and we will see these units on the road by the end of this year.
