Jessi Combs Breaks Land Speed Record with North American Eagle

Jessi Combs drove the North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger vehicle at the Alvord Desert in Oregon, achieving a remarkable two-way average speed of 553 km/h. This milestone broke the previous record of 495 km/h set by Lee Breedlove.

Vehicle Specifications

The record-setting vehicle boasts an impressive weight of 6.3 tons and delivers a staggering 50,000 bhp from a F-104 Lockheed Starfighter engine. A dedicated team of engineers from the US and Canada volunteered to convert the F-104 into a jet-powered vehicle, aiming to reach speeds of 1300 km/h.
