Audi unveiled its first sports hatchback in 2011 with the introduction of the RS3, which boasted a power output of 335 horsepower. Following its success, Audi launched the second generation, featuring increased power and reduced weight, claiming it to be the strongest hatchback in history. However, that title was later claimed by the A45. This has led many to discuss the RS3, prompting me to take it for a test drive.

Interior and Safety Features
The interior of the A3 has been updated to meet the needs of the RS3. The sporty seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara leather, and a turbo gauge all contribute to the driving experience. Additional features include a retractable screen, rearview camera, climate control, start button, electric front seats, and airbags. The base package is sufficient to satisfy everyone’s needs. The cabin design clearly reflects its identity as a sporty hatchback, with seats designed to keep you secure even under high G-Forces. While there is some plastic, the overall aesthetic remains appealing.
Driving Experience
The second generation of the RS3 features a 2.5L turbocharged engine producing 367 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque, delivering impressive power. Coupled with a 7-speed DSG transmission and quattro all-wheel drive, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds. The turbo response is exhilarating, and the exhaust note is arguably the best in the market (sorry, A45!). It includes an adaptive suspension system, but the best setting is Comfort mode with the engine in Dynamic. Additionally, the chassis is superb, providing excellent stability. This hatchback boasts all the outstanding specifications one could hope for.
