2018 Nissan X Trail Review
The current Nissan X Trail has entered a new direction in its design. With another successful midsize SUV, Nissan has made the X Trail with a different approach, resulting in a great product. The 2018 Nissan X Trail is currently one of the most popular new cars in Oman, and this lofty reputation is justified.
Exterior
The current generation of the X Trail departs from the trademark boxy look of its predecessors. Despite that, the current car’s body shell remains handsome and dynamic. The front end has been revised to better reflect Nissan’s current V-Motion grille design, with daytime running lights now added as standard equipment. Smoked LED taillights enhance the rear end’s look, and 17-inch alloy wheels also come as standard.

Interior
The interior of the X Trail is one of its best assets. The interior elements and dimensions are largely unchanged compared to the 2016 model, but it has some improvements. A new three-spoke steering wheel, a dashboard made with better soft-touch materials, and improved upholstery (especially in the higher-end models) enhance the overall appointments of the interior. This car offers adequate front and rear space, with third-row seats available as an optional feature.
Features
The standard safety features of the 2018 Nissan X Trail have been expanded. The infotainment system is easily manipulated using the standard 5-inch touchscreen, with a larger 7-inch unit available as an optional feature.

Specifications
There is only one drivetrain option available in the 2018 Nissan X Trail. A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 171 horsepower is standard for all trims. This is connected to Nissan’s latest CVT transmission that adapts to your needs in almost every driving situation. Nissan’s 4-wheel drive system is now also standard in all trim levels, marking a shift from previous generations that offered only 2-wheel drive. The performance is robust enough for most occasions, and fuel economy is excellent for an engine of its size.
Verdict
The 2018 Nissan X Trail is one of the best cars you can find in their showrooms. It has just about everything you’ll ask for in a midsize crossover. While it has its flaws, it’s challenging to find a class rival that balances as well as the X Trail.
