Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge: A New Era in Desert Rallying
Overview of the Event
The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge is the Middle East’s most established desert rally. This year, it is poised for its second round as part of the new World Rally-Raid Championship from March 5-10. With the FIA and FIM announcing a collaboration for future world motorsport events, the challenge is expected to see a significant international entry.

The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge will enter a new era with the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region.

Future of Cross-Country Events in UAE
All indications suggest that cross-country events in the UAE have a promising future and will soon attract drivers and teams from around the globe.
Event Details
As for the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the event will be based at the Yas Marina Circuit, with the opening ceremony scheduled for March 4th. Following the ceremony, the event will consist of five challenging stages:
- Stage 1: 264 km
- Stage 2: 318 km
- Stage 3: 270 km
- Stage 4: 257 km
- Stage 5: 217 km
Additionally, there will be road sections totaling 519 km, culminating in an overall distance of 1,917 km across the stunning desert landscape of the Al Dhafra region.
