Al-Futtaim Group Becomes Strategic E-Mobility Partner of COP28

Strategic Partnership Announcement

Al-Futtaim Group has been named as the strategic E-Mobility Partner of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). As part of this strategic partnership, the Al-Futtaim Group will provide a fleet of 370 electrified passenger cars, sports utility vehicles (SUVs), and buses for COP28. To support this electrified fleet, Al-Futtaim Group will install its own Charge2Moov electric charging stations at the COP28 venue.

Exhibition and Innovations

During COP28, Al-Futtaim Automotive, the automotive arm of the group, will have a dedicated stand in the Green Zone. They will showcase their range of electric mobility brands and enhance the experience with a virtual reality (VR) automotive showroom at their stand.

Electric Mobility Training and Panel Conferences

Additionally, Al-Futtaim Automotive will highlight their electric mobility training technology for electric vehicle (EV) technicians. Beyond the exhibition, they plan to host key panel conferences on the Green Zone stage. These conferences aim to:

• Bring together industry experts and stakeholders
• Discuss crucial aspects of decarbonization in business
• Highlight sustainable initiatives undertaken by partners throughout their value chain

Future Goals

Al-Futtaim Automotive aims to deliver 50% new energy vehicles (NEVs) and install 10% of the charging stations in the UAE by 2030. The COP28 event will be instrumental in achieving this target.
