All-New 2016 Mazda MX-5 in the UAE

Mazda and Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in the UAE and a prominent company in the Al-Futtaim Group, proudly announce the launch of the all-new Mazda MX-5, the world’s favorite sports car, in the UAE market. The event also featured the first-ever official unveiling of the compact SUV CX-3 at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show.

Engine and Performance

The Mazda MX-5 features a flexible soft-top roof and is equipped with a SKYACTIV 2.0-liter gasoline engine. This four-cylinder, 16-valve inline engine with a dual overhead cam (DOHC) produces an impressive 160 horsepower at 6000 RPM and generates a torque of 200 Nm at 4600 RPM.

SKYACTIV Technologies

The remarkable and efficient performance of the vehicle is attributed to the advanced SKYACTIV technology. This technology has been applied across all aspects of the car, enhancing fuel efficiency through a six-speed SKYACTIV transmission.

Interior Design

The elements within the stylish interior are thoughtfully arranged to meet the driver's needs, enhancing the driving experience. A mesh structure has been added to both the seat and its backrest to reduce vibrations and provide greater comfort during driving.

Driver Comfort

The seating positions and interior features were meticulously designed with driver comfort as a priority. The pedals are positioned in front of the driver's center of gravity, allowing for easier control and handling on the road.

This year, the official partnership between Al-Futtaim Motors and Mazda included sponsorship of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show, where the new and renowned Mazda MX-5 sports car was presented as a prize for visitors at the event.
