All-New Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new GLC Coupe at the New York Auto Show. It comes as no surprise, as Mercedes has consistently launched the GLE Coupe to compete with the BMW X6, making it clear that the GLC Coupe is set to rival the BMW X4.
Car Models
The GLC Coupe will be available in two models:
- GLC300 Coupe featuring a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower.
- GLC43 Coupe equipped with a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine delivering 362 horsepower.
This engine is also found in other 43 models such as the GLC43 and E43.
Performance
Both models feature a 9-speed automatic transmission. Notably, the GLC43 Coupe is the quicker option, able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5 seconds. Additionally, the GLC43 benefits from an AMG performance suspension with all-wheel drive and a rear-focused setup.
GLC Coupe Interior
The interior of the GLC Coupe resembles that of the standard GLC, though rear space is slightly reduced due to the sloping roofline. While the exact interior technology has yet to be confirmed, we anticipate features such as:
- 7-inch display
- Multiple driving modes
- Panoramic sunroof
- Adaptive cruise control
GLC Coupe Launch
The GLC Coupe is set to debut as a 2017 model, with hopes for pricing details to be revealed next year.
