Announcement of the New Service
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that starting July 22, residents can renew their vehicle registrations online. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand online services, integrating eight key services into one platform. The RTA aims to enhance convenience and reduce waiting times at registration and inspection centers across the emirate.
Services Available Online
The following services can now be accessed via the RTA's official website:
- Registration of privately owned vehicles requiring inspection
- Printing a detailed list of registered vehicle information
- Certificates of first owner registration
- Vehicle ownership certificates
- Reinsurance certificates
- Clearance certificates
- Renewal and return certificates from tourism
- Reissuing old or damaged certificates
CEO Statement
Abdullah Yusuf Al Ali, CEO of the RTA Licensing Agency, stated: "This step is part of the RTA's strategy to gradually transition all services to smart electronic tools, aligning with government directives to reduce the number of visitors to service centers and support the Smart City initiative."
Vehicle Registration Procedures
With the launch of this new service on July 22, drivers visiting vehicle inspection centers for annual registration will only receive their inspection results and will be required to complete the process online. Al Ali added that results will be updated immediately, allowing customers to register online instantly.
