Introducing the Audi e-tron GT
With a vibrant driving presentation and a global debut featuring high-profile participants, Audi has unveiled its flagship electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron GT. The brand with the four rings showcased the remarkable features of this all-electric gran turismo during two events celebrating "Evolution Day" online, highlighting its exceptional dynamic performance, stylish design, and sustainability.
Design and Performance of the e-tron GT
According to Markus Duesmann, CEO of Audi AG: "The e-tron GT gran turismo is designed for the future. Its exterior embodies luxury car design while delivering unparalleled performance, representing electric mobility at its most elegant. The vehicle holds a special place thanks to its sustainable concept." He added: "The car offers sustainability not only through its driving concept but also through the carbon-neutral production processes at the 'Bollinger Höfe' plant. This sends an important message regarding location, employees, and Audi's future."
Global Premiere of the e-tron GT
Audi set a new standard with its online global premiere, "Evolution Day." The Audi e-tron GT was introduced through two digital events:
- During the "Acceleration of Evolution" event, Lucas di Grassi, Formula E driver and sustainability advocate, alongside Nico Rosberg, Formula 1 World Champion, showcased the e-tron GT's superior dynamic performance compared to the Audi e-tron FE07, Audi's current Formula E racing car.
- The dynamic performance of the new vehicle was highlighted through a tour at the Audi driving experience center in Neuburg an der Donau.
Celebrating Evolution
Audi presented the Audi e-tron GT to the public for the first time during the "Celebration of Evolution" event. During the hour-long online presentation, Markus Duesmann and Hildegard Wortmann, Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing, along with other Audi champions like Henrik Wenders, Senior Vice President of Audi Brand, and Marc Lichte, Head of Design, revealed the key specifications of the new car.
Audi's Future Direction
The diverse program emphasized Audi's future direction, highlighting the importance of design, sustainability, and performance. Actor and producer Tom Hardy, designer Stella McCartney, and Nico Rosberg shared their personal insights and perspectives. The music accompanying the car's unveiling was composed by American singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe, while the event was led by presenter Stephen Gattin.
Green Future Award
The "Green Tech" festival, co-founding partner of the sustainability platform, and Audi presented the "Green Future" award for the first time during the global premiere of the Audi e-tron GT. This award, part of the "Green Awards," is given to projects and individuals promoting environmentally friendly urban expansion while simultaneously making valuable contributions to improving urban quality of life. The award was won by the startup "Zin City," based in Tel Aviv, for its algorithm that collects and analyzes social media posts and local news from cities.
