Change in the Color of Dubai Metro Feeder Buses
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has unveiled a new color for the Dubai Metro feeder buses, aligning them more closely with the color and classification of the city's trains. In an effort to simplify commuting, the feeder buses will now feature a light blue color, making them easily distinguishable from the city's red buses.
Official Statements
Abdullah Rashid Al Mazmi, Director of Maintenance and Services at the Public Transport Agency, stated, "All feeder buses will sport a new color similar to that of the Metro trains. So far, 70 buses have been painted in the new color, and by the end of the first quarter of the year, all 186 buses are expected to be completed."
Goals of the Authority
The aim of the new color for the buses is to ensure the happiness of all community members, including citizens, residents, tourists, and visitors. The blue color is intended to enhance communication among people and break down language barriers, as Dubai attracts tourists from around the globe.
Future Directions
Al Mazmi added, "The RTA continuously strives to improve public buses and enhance their integration with mass transit options such as the Metro, trams, water buses, and water taxis. The primary goal of this initiative is to make public transportation the optimal choice for commuting in the Emirate of Dubai."
