Japan Mobility Show
Toyota is set to host the Japan Mobility Show on October 25, showcasing its latest releases alongside a range of future models, including the fully electric Land Cruiser.
Electric Land Cruiser Design
Toyota has officially released several images of the fully electric Land Cruiser prior to its public debut. These images reveal a futuristic design characterized by sharp angles and a boxy structure that distinctly differs from the recent generation announced in various versions over the past months, one aimed at the European market and the other globally.
Innovative Interior Cabin
The interior images showcase a cabin that combines ample storage space with a futuristic touch that is unlike any traditional Land Cruiser model. Among the elements enhancing this experience is the uniquely shaped rectangular steering wheel, introduced by Toyota as a new innovation called "New Steer," designed to:
- Replace traditional accelerator and brake pedals with integrated units within the steering wheel.
- Simplify driving, making it accessible for everyone, including those with disabilities.
Advanced Technical Features
Toyota has revealed exciting technical details about the fully electric Land Cruiser. The vehicle measures 5.15 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 3.05 meters, an increase of 203 mm over the gasoline version. The car's dimensions include:
- A width of 1.99 meters.
- A height of 1.7 meters.
While precise figures regarding the expected power system for this future vehicle have not been disclosed, the company describes it as having high torque and a sleek style, highlighted by the quietness typical of electric vehicles across various terrains.
Unibody Chassis and Exceptional Driving Experience
The fully electric Land Cruiser is built on a unibody chassis, enabling precise steering and quick responsiveness, even in rugged areas. The vehicle is designed to accommodate seven passengers and joins a range of future models offered by Toyota, including the EPU, a fully electric truck, and several other vehicles within the small transport and mobility category for individuals with disabilities.
