Introduction
On a sunny Friday, 17 car enthusiasts gathered at an ENOC gas station on Oud Metha Road, showcasing their passion for modified vehicles with powerful engines.
Kickoff
From there, a group of families embarked on a delightful drive through the city, enjoying the thrill of the journey.
Welcoming New Members
Upon arriving at the meeting location, I was greeted by a man named Karan and three of his colleagues, who had established this club a few years ago. Since then, the club has flourished, increasing its membership to 130 registered members.
Activities
The Gambol 7 team organizes four events each year, although half of the year is often unsuitable for driving due to weather conditions. Overall, they are doing a fantastic job of maintaining a vibrant car culture in the UAE.
Car Showcase
The event began with a showcase of participating cars, where enthusiasts discussed their features. The lineup included:
- Porsche 911
- GT86
- Ford Mustang
This was followed by a meeting where Karan explained the club's basic rules: enjoy yourselves, but be cautious and avoid racing.
Mountain Driving
For nearly an hour, we drove through the winding Fujairah mountains, where the sound of the engines echoed powerfully off the slopes. Everyone was enjoying the drive and bonding with each other; I thought to myself, this is where I belong.
Stop in Fujairah
We arrived in Fujairah at 6 PM and headed to a motorcycle drivers' café by the beach, parking alongside the waterfront, which showcased the beauty of the lined-up cars in front of the café.
Event Conclusion
The one thing I took away from the day was the family-like atmosphere shared among us, as each member of Gambol 7 warmly welcomed newcomers. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and am eagerly looking forward to the next event.
