Geely Auto, the Chinese automaker, held an exclusive event for the launch of the all-new Emgrand GT. This car is the flagship offering from the Chinese brand, launched by the exclusive Geely dealer – Union Motors – at their showroom in Deira, Dubai.
Performance
The Geely Emgrand GT is a front-wheel-drive car powered by either a 2.4 liter or a 3.5 liter engine. The 3.5 liter engine produces a respectable 285 BHP and 326 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds.
Geely aims to compete with luxury brands such as BMW and Mercedes, a claim supported by the Emgrand GT winning the ‘China Car of the Year’ award.
